The resort is in the midst of a splendid desert and dune landscape and is the centre piece of the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve which is the first Eco Project of the United Arab Emirates. In this large nature reserve (around 225 square kilometres) indigenous animals such as the oryx antelope (Al Maha) have been resettled and can be observed from close proximity.

Journey time to the Dubai Airport: around one hour

This multiple award winning luxury hotel has the highest comfort in regards to service and ambience and provides the guests with the option to explore the desert on a horse or camel, learn everything about the breeding of falcons or go on excursions to watch indigenous animals. The complex comprises of freestanding bungalows with suites that surround the centre. Here the elegant restaurant, lounge, library, salons and bar are located. In front of the central area there is a pool area with a freshwater pool and sun terrace.


Bedouin Suite: (around 75 m²); the air conditioned suites are comfortably furnished in Arab design and offer a spacious bedroom with sitting area, a separate living room, SAT TV, DVD, mini bar, safe, coffee and tea making facilities. The large bathroom is equipped with a separate shower, hair dryer, bathrobes and body care products from Bulgari. Each suite has a terrace with a heated private pool (7,5 × 6,5).
Maximum occupancy: 2 people

Royal Suite: (around 175 m²); the features are the same as "Bedouin Suite", but there are 2 bedrooms, two bathrooms and one living room.

Emirates Suite: (about 375 m²): Situated further away from the other buildings in a elevated position next to the dunes this highlight of the resort offers the greatest luxury with a spacious living area with kitchen and dining area, two large bedrooms, two bathrooms, a courtyard with fountain and loungers and a lovely terrace with private pool.
Maximum occupancy: 4 people

Presidential Suite: (around 530 m²); with three bedrooms (from which two are king-size bed and one with two separate beds, two bathrooms with separate washing area and Bulgari bath products, a large living area with separate dining area, two mini bars as well as kitchen and a private butler service.
The suites have tea and coffee making facilities, plasma screen, SAT-TV, DVD, wireless phone, data ports, internet access and in-room safe.

Full board: The guest can choose between the restaurant with a panorama terrace which offers Mediterranean, Arab and international cuisine or in privacy on the terrace of the suite.

Next to Mediterranean cuisine also Arab delicacies are offered. The "Al Diwaan" restaurant provides on the large panorama terrace a spectacular view towards the desert. With this international top class wines are served.

Charge: The "Timeless Spa" is a luxurious refuge for health and well-being. It offer a large wellness area (sauna, steam bath, jacuzzi, fitness room), hydrotherapy and rasool rooms and own cosmetic line Timeless.

Following activities are available without additional charge:
- Desert safaris within the Al Maha reserve
- Archery
- Falcon demonstrations
- Camel and horse riding safaris
Without a charge two activities per person/day can be undertaken.
Further offered activities are subject to charge and payable on site.

Since 2014 the Emirate Dubai has a Bed Tax. The tax applies per room and night is payable at check-out in the hotel (bar or by credit card). Depending on the type of booked room the tax varies between 1.40 € and 4.00 € per room and night. This also applies to stop-over bookings.

NOTE TO RAMADAN (2019/05/05-2019/06/04)

In all countries, the Islamic month of fasting Ramadan celebrated. During this period the faithful abstain between sunrise and sunset, inter alia, on eating, drinking and smoking.
Out of respect for the faithful during the day is therefore also the tourist into the public food (also Chew bubble gum), drinking and smoking is not allowed. The restaurant and bar is also restricted in the hotels. The hotel restaurants are open, but meals and beverages are not served during the day outdoors. The entertainment during the day is also limited in the trips and hotels.
In short, public life is with some exuberant celebrations after sunset until midnight instead.
The Ramadan ends with a big party, which is about 3 days and drags with our Christmas comparable.
