This luxury resort has been designed in the style of the Thai village and embedded between lovely rice terraces and lush green hills. It has 64 elegant pavilions with roofed veranda as well as 17 private residences and pool villas.
Further highlights include a Thai cooking school, library, small kids club, spa and 20 metre long infinity swimming pool. In addition to this there is another infinity pool exclusively reserved for adults.

The accommodations are spread over 64 pavilions and 17 Resort Residences with one, two or three bedrooms. All are luxuriously furnished with polished teak wood flooring, vaulted ceilings with ceiling fan, king or twin size beds, spacious bathroom with double basins, separate shower, hair dryer, vanity mirror and bathrobes. In addition to that there are Sat TV, CD and DVD player, telephone, air conditioning, mini bar, coffee and tea making facilities and safe as well as internet access (subject to charge). The bathroom windows offer beautiful views of the tropical gardens. Each accommodation comes with a roofed veranda (sala) with day lounger, dining table and chairs. The guests can enjoy stunning views on the gardens, terraced rice fields or the faraway mountains.
Garden Pavilion: (around 70 m²); situated on the ground floor of a two-storied "Garden Pavilion" and embedded in the tropical gardens. The pavilions are built in groups of four buildings.
Lanna Pavilion: (around 70 m²); same features as "Garden Pavilion", though with view across the terraced rice fields or mountains.
Rice Terrace Pavilion (Lower): (around 70 m²); situated on the ground floor of the two-storied pavilion which are built in groups of four buildings. With view on the rice terraces cultivated by the resort.
Rice Terrace Pavilion (Upper): (around 70 m²); as "Rice Terrace Pavilion Lower", though situated on the first floor with panoramic view on the Suthep Mountains and the resort’s rice terraces.
Pool Villa: (around 403 m² total area); the new detached villas are located on the eastern side of the resort and offer much privacy. The villa provides a combined living and bedroom area (around 77 m²), a roofed sun deck (around 20 m²) with loungers and sun shields as well as a small garden with private pool (around 24 m²). The Dining Pavilion and whirlpool make for around 282 m² of the area.
1-Bedroom Residence: (around 244 m²); the “Residences” are situated on the ground floor or the lower floor of the three to four-storied Residence Houses. The accommodations offer stunning view on the garden or the mountains. They provide a spacious bedroom with king size bed as well as a generous living room. The open living and dining area offers space for eight to twelve persons and a fire place. Furthermore the “Residences” are fitted with a kitchen with adjacent rooms for personnel. The guests of the “Residence Suites” have exclusive access to the Residence Pool, including kid’s pool and a whirlpool and will be cared for by their personal housekeeper ("Mae Baan") living in the Residence. The luxurious bathroom is fitted with a whirlpool bath tub, separate shower and double basin as well as a dressing area.
1-Bedroom Residence with Plunge Pool: (around 284 m²); same features as "1-Bedroom Residence", though with plunge pool and terrace. They are situated on the ground floor of the three and four-storied Residence Houses.
2-Bedroom Residence: (around 350 m²); same location and features as "1-Bedroom Residence", though with two bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king-size bed and the second bedroom has twin size beds. Each of the two bathrooms is fitted with a whirlpool bathtub, separate shower and a double wash basin as well as a dressing area.
2-Bedroom Residence with Plunge Pool: (around 350 m²); same features as "2-Bedroom Residence", though with private plunge pool and terrace. The rooms are situated on the ground floor of the three and four-storied Residence Houses.
3-Bedroom Penthouse Residence: (around 524 m²); the two-storied "Penthouse Residences" provide three bedrooms and a luxurious living and dining area. A spiral staircase made of teak wood leads up to the penthouse bedroom with its stunning panoramic views on the nearby mountains and the surrounding rural landscape. The luxurious furnishings include teak wooden flooring, open fire place, large dining table for eight to twelve persons and a kitchen with adjacent rooms for personnel. Each of the three luxurious bathrooms is fitted with a whirlpool bath tub, separate shower and double basin as well as a dressing area.
The exquisite famous "Sala Mae Rim" spoils with selected dishes and unique aromas from the north of Thailand as well as Thai vegetarian specialities. The "Terraces" is situated next to the main pool. Here guests can dine outside and enjoy the panorama view of the surrounding rice terraces and Suthep Mountains. The restaurant in traditional Lana style serves international dishes. The "Terraces Bar" furnished with teakwood elements is on the top part of the main pool terrace and offers light lunch snacks and refreshing drinks in the evening. From the terrace of the "Elephant Bar" guests can enjoy a sunset. The bar has a number of impressive wooden elephant statues which are used as stands for Thai sun shades. Further "In-Pavilion Dining" is an option in private atmosphere or alternatively in the Residence Suite.
BEAUTY & WELLNESS:
"The Spa at Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai" was selected as the "World’s Best Spa" in 2007 by the readers of Conde Nast Traveller (UK). The spa provides seven large treatment suites which offer absolute privacy and treatments which can also be enjoyed by couples. The suites are fitted with different features such as fresh air shower, herbal steam showers as well as outdoor bath tubs. Two suites are fitted with special double loungers in order to enjoy "tropical rain shower massages". The spa also includes a beauty salon with hair dresser. The guests of the spa must at least 16.
