Stargate – The universe in Dubai

The newest family attraction in Dubai has just recently opened - the Stargate. The edutainment centre is modelled on a spacecraft that after a crash landing is stranded in Zabeel Park in Dubai. It offers a range of recreational activities as well as educational facilities that can be used by schools.The so called “Donut” is a ring shaped tunnel in the basement that provides a shopping mall. From this tunnel one is able to access five exhibition areas, the “Wings” that lead to a piazza with a numerous gastronomical delights with a five sided glass pyramid roof.
Between the exhibition wings there are “triangles” which are spacious rooms that are home to attractions and educational facilities.
On another floor one can find the ring shaped “Fun-Track” where different attractions and sport activities are offered.
The main attraction of the complex is the five domes on the roof. They represent Mars, Earth, UFO, Moon and Saturn. Every dome houses a recreational activity:

• Luna Dome - Skating rink with snow tunnel
• Saturn Dome - 3D Cinema
