Mexico - new ecological park at the Riviera Maya

Unberührte Landschaft und bizarre Höhlenformationen an der Riviera Maya

In July this year for the first time the new adventure and ecological park Xplor opened its doors. Under the slogan „an adventure which started 65 million years ago“ the visitors are able to explore on the 59 hectare large terrain the fascinating cave system of the peninsula Yucatán.

There are deliverances that 65 million years ago an asteroid smashed in here between the Caribbean coastline and the rain forest. It left behind a bizarre landscape of underground grottos and caves with crystal clear water canals, stalactite and stalagmite formations.
The visitor can explore the park in many different ways:

  • via raft with a hand paddle through narrow water ways
  • with a amphibious vehicle through narrow and tight cave streets
  • with “Zip-Lines” from the tree tops all the down into the deep

or alternatively one may fancy a swim through the stalactite streams.

The guests are directly picked up at the hotel with comfortable mini busses and driven to the park. The entrance fee currently is between 129 US$ to 139 US$. All attractions meet the highest security standards.
The park is about six kilometres away from Playa del Carmen and 50 kilometres from Cancun. It is next to Xel-Há and Xcaret the third largest adventure and ecological park of the peninsula.
