Abu Dhabi - Rihanna in Concert on New Year’s Eve in Emirates Palace

Part of her “Rated R”-Tour the 21 year old RnB artist will perform in Abu Dhabi on New Year’s Eve. The concert will take place in the fairy tale castle of the country Emirates Palace. It is reported Rihanna will be paid around 500.000 US$ to accompany its guests into the New Year.
It would be her first performance in the Middle East which was actually planned for this summer. The New York Post quotes a source: “The gig was actually planned for May in Abu Dhabi but she cancelled it as she was concerned what the impact the attack of her ex boyfriend Chris Brown would have.” The singer which was born on Barbados even had to reject an invitation to the Grammy Awards.

Further concert stops on her Middle East Tour will include Dubai, Egypt, Jordan and Lebanon.
